Summer students will want to pack accordingly. Please note the below lists are our summer team’s recommended items and may not be exhaustive or applicable to all students. Some programs, like Lott Leadership Institute, will include additional lists based on activities occurring during the program.
Apparel
- active wear (for outdoor activities)
- one business casual outfit (for class presentations or our Summer College Convocation Dinner)
- swimwear
- light jacket
- comfortable shoes
- masks
- bike helmet (if using a bike)
- long pants and closed-toe shoes (if participating in hiking or in the Engineering track)
Room Supplies and Toiletries
- Twin XL sheets, blanket/comforter
- pillow
- clothes hangers
- towel and washcloths
- personal bath supplies (soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, etc.)
Note for Summer College International students: You will receive a linen pack at arrival with a set of bed sheets, a blanket, a pillow, and a towel.
Cleaning and Laundry Supplies
- broom and dustpan
- cleaning wipes
- laundry detergent
- laundry basket
- quarters for laundry room ($1.50 per load)
School Supplies
- notebooks
- pens/pencils
- laptop or tablet (recommended, not required)
- backpack
Miscellaneous and Optional Items
The following items are optional and may be based on personal preferences.

- small padlock (to secure valuables)

Medication and Medical Supplies
- personal first aid kit

- any medication taken regularly
Important Note: If you suffer from an allergy or any other condition, please make sure that you have your medication with you at all times. Please communicate any medical needs or concerns on the required medical form.
Please note that staff cannot distribute medicine to students, including over-the-counter medications.

Each room will come furnished with a mini-fridge and have access to a microwave on the same floor.
